The Webb Deep-Sky Society
Lee Macdonald has been observing the deep sky for more than twenty years, mostly with telescopes of less than 10 inches (250mm) aperture.
He has experience of imaging with digital SLR cameras, although he is primarily a visual observer, and has made vast numbers of sketches of all classes of deep-sky objects over the years. From 1991 until 2005 he was Secretary of the BAA Deep Sky Section. He also observes the Sun, and is the author of 'How to Observe the Sun Safely', published by Springer in 2002. By day, he is currently doing postgraduate work in the history of astronomy at Cambridge University.
